100 DAYS! Infinite Discoveries!
For the past 100 days, together my kids and I have started, completed and attempted many STEM related activities. We have looked for the science around us. We have learned new things and learned to ask questions while expanding our curiosity.
As I sit here reflecting on all that we have accomplished, I am in pure awe.
When we started I was only trying to take away the winter blahs and find ways to keep my kids busy when the weather outside was frightful. But it’s been so much FUN! We plan to continue as long as we have questions, ideas and inspiration. I hope the experiments will grow with my children. My kids have already designed, performed and analyzed their own experiments (a proud mama moment for sure! *Sniff*).
I would like to thank everyone who has encouraged us to share our stories and adventures. I thank everyone for following our journey via social media long before there was a STEM Play Every Day. I feel honoured to hear we’ve motivated others to bring STEM Play into their own homes.
Today we officially launch our website. Although we have countless stories to share, I have only begun to put these adventures to paper. Like my children, the number of posts will grow. I have half a dozen incomplete ones in progress right now (all those shiny experiments keep distracting me – SQUIRREL!).
Here is a look at some of the science, technology, engineering and mathematics we’ve investigated in the past 100 days.
Again thank you! And here’s to another 100 days of STEM Play Every Day!
